Module 3 Overview: Building Your First AI Automations
-
Lesson 1: The Setup & The Trigger – Defining the business problem and capturing our very first live data pill.
-
Lesson 2: Adding The Brain (AI Prompting) – Injecting Google Gemini or ChatGPT into the workflow to analyze the lead.
-
Lesson 3: The Action (Sending the Output) – Mapping the AI’s response into an automated email and hitting publish.
Lesson 1 Blueprint: The Setup & The Trigger
1. The Business Scenario
-
The Problem: A potential client fills out an intake form on your website at 2:00 AM. If you wait until 9:00 AM to reply, they might have already hired your competitor.
-
The Solution: We are building a workflow that instantly catches their form submission, uses AI to analyze their specific problem, and emails them a hyper-personalized welcome package while you are asleep.
2. Step One: The Trigger (Catching the Lead)
-
The Tool: We will use a simple form builder (like Google Forms or Tally) as our starting point.
-
The Connection: Inside our automation platform (like Zapier or Make), we select “New Form Submission” as our Trigger. This acts as our Webhook—waiting for the doorbell to ring.
3. The Golden Rule of Building: “Test Immediately”
-
The Concept: Never build Step 2 until Step 1 has successfully captured live data.
-
The Action: We submit a fake “test lead” on our own form, then watch the automation platform catch it. This generates our very first “Data Pills” (First Name, Email, Project Details) that we need for the rest of the build.
The Hook & Intro
“What’s up, architects! The theory is over. The whiteboards are put away. Welcome to Module 3. Today, we are putting our hands on the keyboard and building a live AI automation from scratch.
We are going to build one of the most powerful workflows for any business: The AI-Powered Lead Responder. Imagine a client fills out your website form at 2:00 AM. Instead of waiting for you to wake up, our machine is going to instantly read their problem, draft a custom response, and email it to them. Let’s get into the setup.”
Point 1: Creating the Trigger
“Every automation starts with a Trigger. For this build, our starting gun is a simple web form—like a Google Form or Tally.
Inside our automation platform, we are going to add our very first module. We search for our form app and select the trigger: ‘Watch for New Submissions.’ Remember Lesson 2? This is our webhook. We are installing a digital doorbell on our website. When a client hits submit, the form is going to instantly push that data right into our workflow.”
Point 2: The ‘Test Immediately’ Rule
“Now, here is a secret that will save you hours of frustration. Beginners try to build all ten steps of their workflow at once, and then they hit run. When it breaks, they have no idea where the problem is.
We don’t do that. As soon as you set up your Trigger, you stop. You go to your live form, and you type in a fake test lead. ‘John Doe, john@test.com, I need help with my marketing.’ You hit submit, and you watch your automation platform catch it.
Boom. Look right there. The system caught the test. It unpacked the array, and it generated our Data Pills. We now have live data holding John’s information.”
The Takeaway & Outro
“That is Step 1. We have successfully captured our client’s information in real-time. But right now, it’s just raw data. We need to give it a brain.
In Lesson 2, we are going to take John’s data pills, feed them directly into an AI engine, and teach the AI exactly how to reply to him. Grab a coffee, stretch it out, and I will see you in Lesson 2!”
